Orienteering trip

Six Christchurch orienteers will travel to Australia at Easter to compete in a series of international events. All are members of the Peninsula and Plains Orienteers Club. The Christchurch team comprises Eddie Linda Ball, Gaye and Graham Boniface, Alex Cook and Michael Parker. They will compete on 11 of the 14 days they are in Australia. Events will be held at several areas between Sydney and Canberra. Highlights will be a New Zealand versus Australia chab lenge event, followed by the Pacific International Event, and the Australian Military Championships. No South Islanders have been

■ included in the official New ; Zealand team. South Island ’ orienteers have not had many : opportunities to compete against 1 the more established North Island clubs. About 50 New Zealanders will join orienteers from all over the ! world in Australia.
