Thousands for rally
Between 5000 and 10,000 people are expected to attend a Palm Sunday rally in Cathedral Square tomorrow at 2.30 p.m. The rally, which has become an annual event, will include an open-air service with a welcome by the
Mavor of Christchurch (Mr H. G. Hay). Children at the service will dress in national costume and in the clothes worn on the first Palm Sunday in Jerusalem. . The Salvation Army Band, the “Willow” group, and a special orchestra will provide music for hymns and choruses. The Rev. K. Faletoese and Captain R. Brown will .address the service.
