Chiropractic trial
PA Wellington The Medical Research Council is setting up a panel of experts, headed by a non-medical researcher. to devise the Govern-ment-sponsored trial of chiropractic. The director of the cil (Dr J. Hodge) said the council envisaged the panel would work out a
simple trial on the effectiveness of chiropractic in treating back pain. The Minister of Health, (Mr Gair) announced plans for the trial last month. The Government has agreed to help the council fund the trial. The project was one of the recommendations from last year’s report on chiropractic.
