Ashburton top polo prospect
The powerful A-shburton A team must, on present form, be the favourite to take the Gould Cup, the premier South Island polo title, when the South Island championships begin this morning at Ryans Road.
If Ashburton can win the Cup, for the tenth time in its 16-year history, it will be a just reward and a fitting climax to what has been an outstanding, season for the club. Of the six club tournaments held during the season, Ashburton . has won three,:
