J. and J. Stewart sold two at $BO and for 18 selling from $62.50 averaged $70.50. All of the il Southdowns changed hands at auction at between $65 and $95. The Kings sold two at the top price and also two at $81) and for seven making from $7O to $95 they averaged $BO again. Only half of the 64 South Dorset Downs found an immediate buyer. They made from 562.50 to $lOO. A. J. and G. A. McArthur were paid $lOO for two which went to Gore. The next best price was 572.50. With seven selling from $62.50 to $7O H. M. and D. IL King had an average of $6B. Even fewer Dorset; Downs found buyers at auction. Only 14 out of 42 were sold at that stage, ‘the prices being from $62.50 to $lOO. R. J. Letham had two at $lOO, two. at $75 and two at $7O, to average $B2 for. six, and H. M. and D. H. King sold a single ram for $B5. . All nine Border Leicester South Suffolk cross rams sold at auction. All were from D. J. and J. Stewart, and sold from $65 to $BO to average $75. ‘ Seven of the Southdown Border Leieesters changed hands at auction out of 12, and from $65 to $82.50. The Stewarts sold three at $82.50 and the Kings two at $77.50 and two at $65. Neither of the two Southdown South Suffolk crosses nor any of the three Ryeland Dorsel Horns found a buyer, at auction. ftThe 11 stud rams, in . the' offering were sold at the-begin-ning of the sale and seven of these ,at prices from $175 to $470.
