More money
The 13 voluntarily-run suburban libraries in Christchurch might get a bigger City Council subsidy next year. The cultural committee said yesterday that the maximum general subsidy for each library should be increased from $BOO — the maximum set in 1976 — to $lOOO.
Each library would get an initial grant of $4OO, then extra money depending on the amount of revenue; the library produced.
