Less for students in New Zealand
PA Wellington New Zealand universities spend less per student than universities in Britain and Australia, says the New Zealand Vice-Chancellors’ Committee. The committee makes
the claim in a booklet called “New Zealand Universities in a Time of Economic Crisis.” The average recurring cost per full-time student in 1978 was $3379, slightly more than for a technical institute student. ‘ >. “Our expenditure per student is about half that of the United Kingdom and about three-quarters of the Australian outlay,” . the booklet says.
