DC10 report contender
A Christchurch radio announcer, Mr John Blumsky, is among the finalists in this year’s Mobil Radio Awards, which will be announced on March 25. Mr Blumsky’s nomination is in the “outstanding journalism” category, and • the item concerned is a report on the DCIO crash filed from the Antarctic.
Pat Courtenay,: of. 3ZB, is one of three finalists-; for the “Air Personality of the Year,” with Wayne Mowat of the "Tonight Show” and Lindsay Yeo, of 2ZB. Sharon Crosbie, John Gordon and Robert Taylor have
been nominated for the same award, but in the non-com-mercial category. The finalists for the best commercial programme director of the year include two from Christchurch — Peter Don of 3ZB and John McElhinney of 3ZM. Carolyn Arapeta, also of 3ZB, is a finalist for the “top commercial” award for an advertisement about stone fruit.
