NZPA Sydney Champion British woman jockey, Joanna Morgan, was still fighting for her life m hospital in Sydney yesterHtTwever, her condition had improved slightly, a doctor said. ’ She was still in the intensive care unit but her condition had improved from critical to “serious but parents of the 25-year-old jockey, from POwys in south Wales, have flown to Australia to be at her bedside. Joanna, who was to have returned home at the weekend after three months riding in Australia, suffered a thigh injury in a fall from Meadow Light in the Louviers Handicap (1400 m at Randwick last Wednesday.
