Television New Zealand
Sir, — I must protest about the dropping of the mid-evening news bulletin
by Network One. As a parent involved in preparing children for bed at 6.30 p.m. I rarely see that bulletin. My temperate sleeping habits prevent me waiting for the close-down news and as no-one seems interested in giving Banks Peninsula Network Two coverage, many parents miss all round. However,- as a reasonable person, I would be quite prepared to trade off my request for a mid-even-ing Network One news bulletin for Network Two coverage with its 10 p.m. news bulletin. —r Yours, etc., D. G. McKAY, Akaroa. February 22, 1980.
