Sir, —I object to paying for a public relations office: when the streets, wate channels, footpaths, etc., an a disgrace. The cleanlines: of our Cathedral Squan even leaves a lot to bi desired. During the last twc heavy rains the water ha: failed to flow awav in mj district on account of th: filth and rubbish blocking outlets. Would the counci please spend our ratepayers revenue on essential service: only and not on public relations, official functions, etc These expensive luxurie: should only be on when al other essential services, anc the ratepayers are satisfied — Yours, etc., D.
