Obscene letters
PA Auckland Auckland detectives have interviewed a man, aged 50, concerning an international pornography racket alleged to have involved a top sportsman. The police yesterday confirmed that the man will be charged with posting obscene material. Inquiries were made in Auckland after vice-squad de-
tectives in Los Angeles seized several letters during a raid in Los Angeles earlier this year. One letter containing pornographic photographs depicting a man and young boys had been sent from New Zealand. The police said they had found nothing to suggest any sporting connection as. asserted by the letter-writer.
