Professor to head university review
Professor A. D. Brownie, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Canterbury, will chair a new committee that has been appointed to review the situation of New Zealand universities.
The committee of three has been set up by the University Grants Committee to review university activities in the light of likely academic developments and individual and community needs.
The other two members of the committee are Mr J. C. Fair, a member of the University Grants Committee and director of.
B.P. New Zealand Ltd, and Mr J. H. Ingram, a member of the University of Auckland Council, and managing director of New Zealand Steel, Ltd, Auckland.
