Grant for books
PA Wellington The Minister of Internal Affairs (Mr Highet) has made a. special grant of $lO,OOO to Kidsarus 2, a non-profit making society producing and promoting New Zealand children’s literature.
The grant will help Kidsarus publish four children’s books written and illustrated by New Zealanders. “Kimi and the Watermelon,” by Mirian Smith; “The Kuia and the Spider,” by Patricia Grace; “The Terrible Taniwha of Timber Ditch,” by Joy Cowley; and . “The Tale of Barbwire Annie” by Bill Manhire.
