The organiser of the door-td-door appeal for the Canterbury branch of the Society for the Intellectually Handicapped (Mr R. Foley), hopes that the appear last Monday raised more than the expected $BO,OOO '■ Mr Foley said that by last evening more than $60,000 had\been counted and that country and Post Office donations had still to be collect-
ed. < It would be another week before the full- total was known. Last year’s total was $60,000.
