PA Oamaruj A move is under way tai give South Island members of the National Travel Association more “clout” within the organisation. A Waitaki Valley member, Mr M. Douglas, says he will recommend that a South Island federation af branches! be formed. A recent publication of! the association's “Destination New Zealand,” prepared by the national office, was "Heavily North Island orientated.” he said. There was: only the briefest mention of the South Island. The president and chief! executive of the association! should be called to task to: answer for this, said Mr} Douglas. He plans to ask the Wait-* aki branch to call a meeting! of all South Island branches! to act collectively.
