Off-spinner may go
NZPA Sydney The England cricketers’ Christmas celebrations were spoiled yesterday by the news that a second player might have to return home because of injury. The England manager, Alex Bedser, announced that the off-spinner. Geoff Miller,, was still troubled by a back 'injury.
Mr Bedser said that the Middlesex off-spinner, John Embury, had been asked to ' join the touring side for the ' remainder of their six ■ weeks in Australia. Bedser said a final deci- . sion of whether Miller f would return to England j depended on the results of 'X-rays and blood tests.
