'Thoughtful’ thief
PA Auckland The Christmas spirit seems to have touched even the heart of a car thief, who left this note in a stolen car near the Papakura Police Station on Saturday evening: ‘‘To whom it may concern. You'll appreciate the fact that your car was not stripped, this being mainly due to the Christmas spirit. . Have placed money in glove box for steering-wheel cap. And have replaced petrol. Signed. ‘Happy-go-lucky youth’.”
