Pioneers top marchers
Acme Pioneers took the honours in the open senior grade at the Rangiora Marching Association's championships on Sunday. It won five awards. Results were:— Open senior grade: First team, first display, first leader, uniform, march past, Acme Pioneers; second team, second display, McAlpine Stars; second leader. Skellerup Militaires; Call in and inspection, achievement, Conron Lancers. Open junior grade: First team, McVicar Guards; second team, first display, first leader, uniform, march past, Blue Star
Taxis; second displav, Acme Pioneers; second leader, fall in and inspection, achievement, Canterbury Motors. Over open and novice: Fall In and inspection, march past, Canterbury Motors; uniform, Travelfar Cadets; achievement, Skellerup Militaires. Open midget grade: First team. second display, first leader, Canterbury Motors; second team, first displav, Blue Star Taxis; second leader, Skellerup Militaires Crackerjacks. Novice midget grade: First team, first display, first leader, Sockburn Motors.
