“Issue not skirted”
Sir, — My immediate reaction on reading a Press Association item, “Issue not Skirted” (“The Press,” November 17) was one of alarm at the disturbing attitude of the secretary of the Police Association (Dr R. Moodie) to normal conformity which in our gregarious society is essential to law abiding, particularly in the area closest to the official’s heart and concerning which one of the penal statutes makes a particular reference. — Yours etc., IVAN A. MITCHELL. November 17, 1979.
