Kampuchean Govt

Sir, — Surely people such as Professor W. E. Willmott (O' f ober 5) could be considered naive in their views on the fate of the Kampuchean people if that fate were not so disgusting. Apparently we should ignore the ghastly atrocities we see and hear, from the people who should know; namely, the Kampucheans themselves. I believe that in the Second World War "work camps” were allowed to flourish, without consciences being unduly troubled. If Professor Willmott and others really do believe they are in possession of the correct facts, then God help the remnants of our free Asian-Pacific countries. — Yours, etc., ELIZABETH ROBERTSON. October 8, 1979.
