$300,000 investment
The Accident _ Compensation Commission has invested $300,000 in North Canterbury Hospital Board registered stock. This followed a decision to invest more than the commission’s statutory requirement of 29 per cent in Government and local body stock, said a commissioner (Mr J. L. Fahy).
The $300,000 was invested for six years at 13j per cent. Economic uncertainty i meant the commission had to take care with its investment, but local authority! interest rates were now; competitive enough to allow greater investment, said Mr Fahy.
