Better market for Cooks
Cooks New Zealand Wine Company, Ltd, has improved its market share, particularly in white table wines, says the chairman (Mr D. E. Smythe) in the annual report. Statistics indicated increased sales of table wines, but little growth was exexpected in the fortified and sparkling wine sectors of the market, he said. The general manager (Mr J. R. Adams) said the company had not produced any fortified wine from the 1979 vintage and planned to phase down fortified wine sales and concentrate on table wine.
