Man killed in crash
PA New Plymouth A man was killed when his car left the road at the top of the Herlihy Bluff, about Bkm from Taumarunui on the road to Ohura, and plunged down a 100 m bank about 2 a.m. on Sunday. He was Garth Sweeney, aged 29, single, manager of radio station IZU, Taumarunui. Mr Sweeney, whose home town was Gisborne, had been at Taumarunui for about two years.
