Trial ordered
A man, aged 29, was committed to the Supreme Court for trial after the hearing of depositions of seven prosecution witnesses in the Magistrate’s Court yesteraav.
Messrs J. Green and R. C. Holland, Justices of the Peace, held there was a prima facie case for the defendant to answer to the charge of theft of three cartons of turkeys valued at $127.02 from his employer on August 7. The defendant, who was granted interim suppression of his name, was remanded on bail pending his Supreme Court trial.
.He pleaded not guilty to the charge. He was represented by Mr W. G. G. Young, who reserved his defence.
Sergeant K. J. Hurndell prosecuted.
