Late sport No roller-skating medals
It seems that the New Zealand roller skating team has failed to collect any medals at the world bankedtrack championships in Italy, but the women have performed creditably and recorded two fourth placings. A postcard from the team received in Christchurch last evening stated that Fiona Wass, of Hastings, finished fourth in the 3000 m, with
Karen Yorke, of Christy church, fifth, and Christin, Rowe (Hastings), eighth. In the 500 m, Yorke wai fifth and Rowe eighth, and the trio again did well it the 10,000 m with Yorkt fourth, Rowe seventh, anj Wass eighth. The national . team did not fare so well I i the time trial or sprints, a» , though Rowe finished in th| i first 10 in both events.
