Seven-a-side rugby shortage
The chief Canterbury rugby selector, Stan Hill, was having a hard time yesterday carrying out his last assignment before his retirement. This afternoon, beginning at 4.15 p.m., the regional elimination will be held at Rugby Park in the national seven-a-side tournament, the final rounds of which will be played at Palmerston North next Saturday. South Canterbury having withdrawn, the central South Island play-off will be between Canterbury and MidCanterbury. Each union will supply
