Talus, a semi-submersible launch and recovery vehicle that is equally at home on land or sea. It is powered by a four-cylinder diesel engine, has four-wheel drive, a hull specially protected against corrosion and is designed to attain progressive buoyancy, to prevent it settling into soft sand or mud. All these features enable Talus to handle a variety of tasks such as flood rescue boat handling and land reclamation. Several versions of Talus are being used by the British Army.
