Sunday soccer title
A 3-2 win over North Beach A gave Gladstone the Umbro International Sunday soccer league first division title on Sunday.
Smiths United won promotion to the first division, Ram won the third division competition, and Andersons made certain of winning the fourth division with a 16-1 win over Ashburton B. Harry McCosh scored a double bat-trick for Andersons.
Provincial will be relegated from the first division, Music Machine will drop from the second to the third division, and
Grosvenor will be relegated to the fourth division. Results:— First division: Condor 2, Provincial 1; Foresters 4. Pharoahs 0; Avonhead A 2. Mastagard 0; Gladstone 3, North Beach A 2. Second division: Conley and Blyth 1, Avonhead B 0; Music Machine 2, Fire Brigade 2; Sunnyside 1, Smiths United 1. Third division: Kenco 10, Grosvenor 1; Ham 5, Air New Zealand 0; C.S.B. 5, Ashburton 1. Fourth division: Grenadiers 3, Lyttelton 2; Addington 2, Avonhead C 1; Andersons 16, Ashburton B 1.
