Colt foal to Micheline
Special correspondent Cambridge A brother to the former brilliant mare Surround (Sovereign Edition — Micheeline), has been born at the Middlepark Stud, Cambridge. The colt, a bay which is owned by Mr Colin Stuart, of Cambridge, also has an unraced older brother’ in England. He is in the stable of John Dunlop in Sussex and will race for a New Zealand syndicate. Another brilliant galloper from the same family was Purple Patch (Pakistan II — Micheline), a big winner in Australia. Micheline, which is by Le ! Filou from Dulcie, is a halfI sister to the former cham- • pion Balmerino. She will now be mated [with Balmerinos sire Tric-
trac which also stands at Middlepark Stud. Many fine gallopers have come from the Dulcie family, among them Gay Filoo. Fulmen, Fileur, Pilfer and Mia Bella.
