Gangs and protesters
Sir, — I am writing in protest over the recent gangs issue. Recently their representatives were asked to Parliament for talks on weapons and that concerns the welfare of the individual. You would think that this royal treatment for gangs would have caused upset among the protesters. No, not where the gangs aie concerned, armed or unarmed. Yet when the All Blacks go to South Africa all hell breaks loose over a sporting game that brings nations together. This can be stopped by protesters. Sport is a clean world-wide activity, so why do not demonstrators demonstrate in New Zealand about fighting and killing rather than be interfering with the part of New Zealand that is trying to up-
hold the old rule that everyone is equal. — Yours, etc., SALLEE VULETICH. August 24, 1979.
