Injured pilot transferred
PA Palmerston North The pilot of the Fill jet fighter-bomber that crashed on take-off on Ohakea on Friday morning has been transferred to the base hospital. Flying Officer Mark Kelly, aged 22, married, of Armidale, Victoria, suffered a compression fracture of a vertebra in the accident. The injury is not serious, although Flying Officer Kelly will have to spend two to three weeks in bed.
