PA Auckland A good win in the last rubber by the New Zealand No. 1, Shelley Palmer, carried the New Zealand invitation women’s team to a 5-4 win over the touring New South Wales table tennis team last evening. New South Wales held the
early advantage, but Debbie Looms and Miss Palmer took New Zealand to its narrow victory. New South Wales took an early 2-1 lead on Sunday evening, with wins by Mary Cannon and Lyn McKeough in reply to an opening victory by New Zealand’s Jan Morris.
