M.P. vomits in House
PA Wellington The Labour member of Parliament for Sydenham (Mr R. J. Kirk) vomited at his bench in Parliament last night and was sent home for some rest by the senior Opposition Whip (Mr C. R. Mar. shall). “He’ll probably be back in the morning,” said Mr Marshall outside Parliament. “I don’t really think it’s terribly serious.” Mr Marshall said Mr Kirk had been unwell twice in the last month and was under a good deal of strain. “There are quite a few people at this time of the year who I think show the strain-”
Mr Kirk cleaned himself up and voted in two divisions before being driven to his Wellington home escorted by the Labour member of Parliament for Waitakere, (Mr R. K. Maxwell).
