Letterbox blast
PA Dunedin . Detectives are in* vestigating twin explosions in Milton on Sunday evening, one of which blew a policeman’s letterbox to bits. Shortly before 10 p.m. a plastic bag filled with gas was put in the letterbox and detonated with a fuse, said the police, who did not elaborate. About an hour later a second explosion damaged a telephone box in Milton’s main street opposite the Tokomairiro High School.
