Charges likely

Charges are likely to be laid as a result of a youth’s having suffered an electric shock from a fence round a goldfish pond at Opawa on Monday, the police have said. Conway Van Der Lee, aged 17, of 25 Tabart Street, suffered bums when he tried to rescue a dog which had been killed by the electrified fence. Mr Van Der Lee was discharged from the Christchurch Hospital on Wednesday.
