THE BRISBANE ABATTOIR .GENERAL MANAGER Applications are invited for the above position. The Brisbane Abattoir holds export registration, including U.S. listing. It is a major service works operated by the Metropolitan Public Abattoir Board, a Statutory Authority in the State of Queensland, Australia. DUTIES: The successful applicant will accept direct responsibility for the day to day management and control of the Board's financial, saleyards, slaughtering, chilling, freezing, meat market and by-product operations. QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must have a practical knowledge of the meat industry, including modern abattoir techniques, export hygiene standards, industrial procedures and business, financial and budgetary management skills. Appropriate graduate, diplomats, technical and/or other qualifications will be an advantage. CONDITIONS OF APPOINTMENT: Salary will be by negotiation and will be commensurate with experience and ability. Superannuation is available. An on-plant residence and car will be provided from July 1980. The appointee will be required to commence duties early in 1980 and reasonable relocation expenses will be met. GENERAL: This is the highest position in the management structure of the Board and is an excellent opportunity for a top calibre meat industry executive.
