New post for priest
The ReV. A. G. Neil has been appointed vicar of Aranui-Wainoni. He will replace the Rev. S. Edwards, who has moved to Opawa. Mr Neil gained a B.A. at the University of Canterbury before his theological training at St John’s College, Auckland. He was ordained a deacon in 1973, and a priest in 1974. He served as a curate in Papanui from 1973 to 1975, and then in Shirley from 1975 to 1977. Since 1977 he has been associate priest of the Parish of St John the Baptist, Rangiora. Mr Neil will take up his new post in December.
