High-country fire
Sir, — Further to the letter from Mr Acton-Adams (July 13): I wonder how many farmers are aware that if fire spreads from their property to ’Crown land, the Crown may recover all costs of extravagant air and ground firefighting exercises, and of regrassing operations front him, even if the fire is started by lightning or poachers? — Yours, etc...
