Grant for two films

Wellington reporter The Film Commission has made a grant of $2OOO for development work on two proposed films by Gaylene Preston and Warwick Attewell. Their half-hour film, "All The Way'Up There." about efforts to get a spastic to the top of Mount Ruapehu is now showing successfully in New Zealand cinemas, along with the feature film “Middle Age Spread.” One of the two proposed films is, a dramatisation with a documentary base entitled “State Ward.” This film is planned as a collection -of stories about foster children, foster parents and social workers.

The second project will be a documentary on the local recording industry.
