Request for bail adjourned
An application for bail by Peter Fulcher, a company! director, of Auckland, was heard in chambers by Mr Justice Casey in the Supreme Court y terday. Fulcher, ' aged 39, had pleaded not guilty in the Magistrate’s Court to three charges involving af. application for a passport. After a 40-minute hearing his Honour adjourned the bail application until 9.30 a.m,. today to enable further inquiries to be made..
“Hopefully things will be sorted out by then,” Fulcher’s counsel, Mr H. M. Romaniuk, of Auckland, told reporters afterwards. Also appearing for Fulcher was Mr E. H. Parsons, of Christchurch. Mr D. J. L. Saunders represented the Crown. Fulcher will appear again in the Magistrate’s Court next Monday.
