Valuation Roils now in force lor the Borough, for the period Ist April, 1979. to March 31. 1980. li) A GENERAL RATE of decimal six tnree two (.632) cents in tne dollar made under the provisions ot section 139 ot the Local Government Act, 1974, oi the Riccarton Bush Amendment Act, 1964, the Canterbury Museum Trust Board Act,.1947, and the Rating Act. 1967 for various municipal purposes and to meet contributions payable to various iocaj authorities, (2) A WATER RATE of decimal one six six two (.1662) cents in the dollar, made under the provisions of sections 143 and 166 of the Local Government Act. 1974, on every separately rateable property to which water is supplied, with a minimum rate of ten dollars ($10) and half that rate on every separately rateable property to which water can be. but is not, supplied (being a property situated within 100 metres from any part of the waterworks) with a minimum rate of five dollars ($5).

Christchurch Drainage Board and Christchurch Transport Board such rates as are made by Special Order of the respective Boards on the Capital Rateable Value of the Borough will be collected bv the council. North Canterbury Catchment Board such rates as are directed to be made and levied and fixed as to amount by Special Order of the Board, such rates having been duly adjusted to land value rating, will be collected by the Council as follows: Administrative Rate of decimal nought three seven four five four (.037454) cents in the Dollar Waimak Class D Rate of decimal nought nought nine six nought eight (.009608) cents in the dollar both on the Rateable Land Values. It is also publicly notified that the whole of the above mentioned rates will be payable at the office of the Riccarton Borough Council, 199 Clarence Street, Riccarton, on the thirteenth day of August ,1979, and that the Valuation Rolls will be open for inspection, without fee, during office hours (which are 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m, Monday to Friday inclusive). It is hereby further publicly notified that pursuant to section 71 of the Rating Act, 1967, an additional charge of ten per cent (10 p.c.), will be added to all rates not paid on or before Wednesday, tlie thirteenth day of February, 1980. Pursuant to section 121 of the Local Government Act, 1974. it is hereby publicly notified that the Riccarton Borough Council has approved the estimates of receipts and expenditure for the undertakings, activities and services for the year April 1. 1979 to March 31, 1980, and that a copy of the approved estimates is available for public inspection at the Council Office during normal office hours.
