Hayes wins squash title
NZPA Brisbane Two young New Zealanders, Rod Hayes, of Canterbury, and Karen Lever, of Bay of Plenty, won titles on the final day of the Queensland, the defending championships in Brisbane.
! Hayes won the men’s , under-23 final with a win . over a local player, G. ■ Smith, by three games to t two, and Miss Lever beat S. . Harris, of the host state, 9-4, . 9-1, 9-2, to win the women’s plate.
