Town Hall safe conviction

One of four men involved! in the Town Hall safe bur-| glary in May was convicted and remanded to June 28 for ! a probation report and sen-; fence when he appeared be-i fore Mr F. G. Paterson, 5.M.,! in the Magistrate's Court yesterday. Raymond James Olsen,; aged 37, a labourer, admitted; a charge of receiving a safej and its contents, to a value of 44983, the property of the Christchurch City Coun-; cil on May 7. Shannahan' said the safe and its contents! were stolen from the Christchurch Town Hall during May 6 and 7. Roberts is charged with stealing a suitcase and its contents, to a total value of $386, on June 20. Bail was opposed by Ser. geant Shannahan.
