Chathams lack L.P.G.
The Chatham Islands will be short of liquefied petroleum gas until Friday, while shipments resume after the settlement of the dispute which left many areas “dry.” The next ship due to call at the Chathams, the Holmdale. is not expected until June 22.
Supplies in Christchurch are returning to normal after the arrival at the week-end of a 60-tonne shipment in the Union Hobart. L.P.G. is expected to arrive in other parts of the South Island today.
