Economic trend 'hits youth’
Political power . and wealth are becoming concentrated in a privileged, increasingly exclusive clique, says the Social Credit Political League’s spokesman on youth (Mr G. A. Clover). The worst hit were young persons, who made up half of those registered out of work, said Mr Clover.
He condemned the aggregation of effective political power and wealth “by a narrowing clique of privileged owners of capital, and their professional consultants.” Social Credit sought to promote a fairer distribution and ownership of resources, he told the Sydenham branch of the league.
“The economic and financial systems must be reformed to allow a greater spread of private, individual ownership of property and production throughout society,” he said.
