“Learning about love”
Sir, — I refer to the letter from Jill Wilcox (June 10). In this age of growing selfishness it is encouraging to know that in our community the “milk of human kindness” still exists. Only lazy, selfish people find retarded children an embarrassment. I am a part-time pool locker attendant at Q.E. II and I find that the average retarded child (they come in a party) goes all out to produce his best and is patient and polite. An excellent lesson to learn from them. — Yours, etc., A. DELHANTY.
