Basketball finalists decided
PA Napier The reigning national women’; club basketball champion, Crichton Ford ■ Napier) and the Hamilton side, Kotuku. will fight out the 1979 finals in Napier this evening. In the semi-finals in Napier last evening each had to struggle through particularly tense games, in each case winning by a single point. Kotuku caused the upset of the night, beating the favourite Auckland team, Boystown, 54-53.
The Wellington team Centrals, containing two former Crichton flayers from the davs when the Napier side was known as Hadleigh Homes provided tougher competition than exoected, before losing, to Crichton.
