Pistol stolen
An audacious theft last evening has deprived the Canterbury Paraplegics Air Weapons Club members of the use of their only international match pistoL Mr Reg Woollett, who coaches the paraplegics in air weaponery, was sitting with friends in the lounge Ot his Redwood home when the air pistol, worth $520 and case were “lifted" from the bedroom. A member of Mr Woollen’s family saw the burglar from the kitchen and
was able to give police a description of the man. Mr Woollett said that the air pistol, Feinwerkbau model 65, was the only one of that quality the club had. It been given by the staff and patrons of the Gladstone Hotel. *Tt is a big, clumsylooking weapon and it would not be any use for anything other than as a precision target weapon,” Mr Woollett sai l. The pistol case was easily recognisable and the gun would be recognised by shooters, he said.
