Industrials fall again
Australian industrial stocks showed further losses yesterday, in the wake of the latest round of interest rate increases, this time for local and semi Government loans. Australia ICI shares sold at 220 c in a special sale, and the market price rose 13c to 233 c after the 9.9 per cent rise in interim pr .fit. B.H.P. fell 16c to a low of 902 c for the day before rising to 906 c. CSR finished the day down 5c at 410 c after dipping to 400 c. Today is the last trading day before dividend and rights adjustments are made. On the mining boards CRA regained 7c to 322 c but Western Mining eased 5c to 224 c, and Consolidated Gold lost 5c to 350 c.
